Robert Karlson played alongside the favourite and European No. 1 Lee Westwood played a perfect golf of 65 at the final round of the Commercial Bank Qatar Master at Doha today. Lee Westwood birdied the first 2 holes and looked the early favourite to take the title, but 2 bogeys on the first nine made him struggle a bit behind Dredge and Rumford.

Karlson played some superb golf at the second nine and birdied the final 72nd hole to sealed the victory with a final round of 65.

Lee Westwood, race to Dubai

Lee Westwood won the Dubai World Championship here on Sunday to make him Europe no 1 player. He carded the new course record of eight under 64 for a total 23 under par. Starting the with a 2 shots lead over Ross McGowan, Lee made no mistake through the whole 18 holes from tee to the green with all 100% fairway hits and green in regulation.

It is hard to find anyone who is so much in focus other than Tiger Wood but Lee showed that he too can be very as good as the best leaving everyone in the field with 6 shots. Next year it will be interesting to see if the Englishman can win a major championship and hopefully the British Open or the US Open.
