Taylormade Japan introduces its all new Burner Forged Irons. Forged from premium soft S25C, the new Burner Forged provides wonderful feel and control coupled with performance. The Burner forged utilizes inverted cone technology and a new cavity design to increase the sweet area over the previous model reducing distance loss on miss hits. The new Burner Forged also has a multi functional sole made for versatility in any lie.

The new Burner Forged features a pearl satin finish to reduce glare and reflections. The iron features some offset to help players square the club at impact and closer to traditional lofts (26* 5 iron) for playability.

The set look quite similar to the earlier version of Taylormade R7 forged and should be available for the market very soon. It comes with the popular NS Pro 950GH shaft or the Mitsubishi Rayon Bassara for the graphite lovers. This will be the set golfers will love to own and of course myself being a fan of Taylormade.

Kenny Perry co lead the Augusta National

On the day two, PGA winner Kenny Perry is leading at Augusta with 9 under par. Tiger Woods finished a disappointing even round on Friday and is trailing at two under par. We seems to forgot that Kenny Perry is very consistent with his game this season and he may well become the next Masters champion.

On Saturday is a moving day and we wil see if there is any movement on the leaderboard. Anthony Kim scored the lowest round and was back to contention after and impressive low round of 65.

There were many events happening too on the second round. Gary Player finally said goodbye to competitive golf after competing in the masters more than anyone else. Mr. Player was indeed a great player and he will always will as he made some great players like Trevor Immelman and the many great players from South Africa who are now playing the best golf of all time.

With the best talent that was loan to him as what Mr. Player said, he had made golf such a wonderful and beautiful game and created a lot of smiles on faces of the earth. To Gary Player, we thank you.

Live and die with Taylormade

Golfers seems to have their favourite choice of golf club brands and some golfers will stick to just 1 single brand. There are many good clubs from well known club makers nowadays. During the pro tournament on TV we can see our favourite players swinging drivers made from the same club we have in our bag. We start to out our club and try to make the same swing, but did not arrive quite the same.

One of the most successful club maker is Taylormade. I am a big fan of Taylormade. I used to have an R7 driver and now I’m using a limited edition of R7 forged iron. It is a limited edition, sold mostly in Japan and made to the finest finishing.

Taylormade is no doubt one of the best maker of golf driver in the world. At any professional tournament we could easily see almost half of the players are swinging the Taylormade brand. The latest in the new R9 driver which made the debut in early January. Now long after that we saw Sergio Garcia wearing the R9 cap obviously showing that Sergio is hitting with the new driver. Sergio Garcia is the best driver hitter in the world. The world number 2 player always find his ball right in the middle of the fairways with miles from the tee box.

With the new R9 and Taylormade’s ever improving technology it will not be surprising if Sergio can tipped Tiger to be number 1 this year, now that Tiger still has not fully getting to his best touch yet.

Many European PGA players also seems to be doing quite fairly with Taylormade. Some of the top 10 finishers in any tournament will have at least 5 would have Taylormade clubs in their bags.

So will we amateur or weekend golfers maintain our love for Taylormade. I would certainly maintain my iron and we try to get the new R9 or any later versions of Taylormade drivers. Well it all depends on the current economic situation.

Until then, we do hope that Taylormade will keep improving on their club technology and keep their price low enough to be affordable by many.
